I will be taking a break from my blog
to spend the last days and hours
with my dear Daddy
who is soon going home to be with Jesus...
he has lived a full and happy life for 92 years
most of that time serving in active ministry
and being a spiritual mentor
to 1000's of people in his life time.
There are no regrets as we face
the final goodbyes, I have had the gift
of his full love, support
and affirmation.
No parent could have done better
in teaching his children to know
and love God's Word
and to seek a very personal walk
with Jesus.
He is a man of great honor and integrity
who can face eternity with full confidence in
the cleansing blood of Christ.
Thank you for your prayers,
Karen
Sending you a heart full of love Karen! Beings I've never stood at the edge of the River to bid my own parents good-bye I can't imagine what it really feels like ... but I'm happy for you that you're facing it with peace in your heart. So thankful you have a life-time of good memories! God be with you!
ReplyDeleteHeart wrenching. Tears and glory. He lived his life like my Auntie Clara: gentleness, humbleness and simplicity. May the Lord grant him a gentle home going.
ReplyDeleteWe really should be rejoicing, Karen! God bless us,, everyone!
ReplyDeleteWe are praying for you and yours, Karen! "It's not an easy road." Clara
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful testimony of your Dad! I am one of the 1000's that he has personally mentored! Loving you all and keeping you in prayer!
ReplyDeleteHe has answered the call!! How the angels must be singing ... Hallelujah and praise to our King! May God fill the empty place in your heart with his comfort and peace. And for the little time you have left with your sweet mama; wrap yourself in her love! God be with you dear Karen.
ReplyDeleteAmen and Hallelujah! He won the race!
