Tomato Pie

I'm a day late on the Bakers Review

W/ Aimee but I went ahead

with this because it was a new recipe.

It is called

Summer Tomato Pie

and has a biscuit type crust with herbs,

layers of tomato, cheese

herbs and mayonaisse.

I won't put the recipe

as it is available on

countryliving.com.

I would rate it as ok, not

spectacular.

I'm brimming with ideas and having a blast!

This was my first attempt at

refinishing a furniture item

from a thrift store.

I love how it turned out and

have become a painting fiend with

all kinds of new projects going on

for my home and space at

Rusty Glamour!

This was the ugliest thing you ever saw...

but really fresh and fun now.



Where does the Time go?

This day was a day that has been a long 

time in coming...38 long years in fact!

When you come from a family of

11, and there's a lot of years and miles

(New Hampshire, Florida, California

and Washington)

spread out between oldest and youngest

it's hard to get everyone together.

It was a time of sweet sorrow.

"Being together 

but knowing it's to say goodbye to a dear

Mom and Dad.

Laughing over the past,

but crying for the 3 siblings

who are already in heaven.

Saying so much 

but unable to say in words what

we really want to say."

God arranged it, 

He blessed it,

He is Love.

We love you, so much

Dad and Mom!

 Almost 67 years of married bliss-real bliss!

And faithful love and service to their Lord and Friend.

A Very Hungry Kids Room

I've been helping with some decorating

of my grand babies room.

Because it has to be shared by a girl

and a boy we used a Pottery Barn

shared room as inspiration.

Here are my knock-offs

painted on 20x30 canvases.

I changed the butterfly a little to coordinate

with the bedding.

I also made pillows etc which I will show

in a post later.

My Oldest is 30!

My daughter Shana turned 30 yesterday!

We spent the day in Silver Falls Park

hiking and watching the little ones

be so excited about waterfalls and

rivers, bugs and sticks!

Then we finished our day with a yummy

BBQ in the park.

Let's play Store!

I am so excited to have gotten a space

at Rusty Glamour on Main St

of my home town!

I managed to fill the whole space chock 

full with the things I still

had left from our sale, so it was 

a super easy event. 

My spot is in the back right 

just before the corner.
