Shabby Dresser Organization

I'm linking up again with Delightful Order
and the Thursday Link Party.
This time I finally got my $10 thrift store dresser
fixed up so I can keep my scrapbook papers in
each drawer by color.
I also put on all new knobs and labels.

What Turns a Tree Pink?

" And the earth brought forth grass,
the herb that yields seed according to its kind,
and the tree that yields fruit,
whose seed is in itself according to its kind.
And God saw that it was good."
Genesis 1:12

I just happened to look inside a branch
I broke off my flowering plum tree
and to my amazement saw
that the sap is pink too!
Isn't God just so creative?!

Just a Little Peek at my Week

Here's a look at what I've been planning
for the last 2 months...
More pictures to follow the event
taking place this Friday;)

Wielding a Paint Brush or Two!

Every day when Brielle comes to Grandmas
we have painting time.
She says "I painting!",
gets out a piece of paper,
situates herself on my chair, tells me
to go on my knees by her and
 then we paint!
This time she got bored with one brush so
 she is painting with two:)

Organizing My Closets

Danita over at Delightful Order
has inspired me to join in the
Delightfully Inspiring Thursday
Link Party.
I have 2 closets in my Master Bath,
one under the stairs
and a walk in.
Once I got started I did both
plus an extra drawer with all
my hair accessories!
I ended up with 2 huge bags of give-away
items and a very orderly feeling:)
It felt great to get it all done
in time for spring clothes
and (hopefully) spring weather.

Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word

This morning when I went into my bathroom
I found 5 of these little guys!
closet
sink
toilet
shower
drawer
By the 2nd one I was smiling
and by the 5th I was laughing:)
That was a pretty clever way for my guy
to say those hard words!

Harbingers of Spring

"For lo, the winter is past,
The rain is over and gone.
The flowers appear on the earth;
The time of singing has come."

Song of Solomon 2:11-12

Catalyst #128

This newest catalyst at Creative Therapy
is to use art to show "what you want to
give your children that you wish you had".
This journal cover is my interpetation of that.
The concept of being true to yourself is
not too hard to say and to teach,
but to let your children actually LIVE that
is the hard part, 'cause as a parent I have ideas
and dreams for them that may not be who they are!
 The vintage kids represent my
2 daughters, and 3 sons.

A Very Important Experience in a Woman's life

This is my oldest child...
trying on wedding dresses...
I can show you this style because
even though it's lovely, it was not
"THE ONE"!

When she tried on the 6th one and
I saw her walk out with it on, I knew...
it was the perfect dress
for Shana...and it was in her size too..
so she got to bring it home last night to hang
in her closet until the big day.

and so the planning and anticipation
begins!
